The Observatory has one of the most comprehensive collections of instruments in Regional Australia, ranging from 18th to 21st centuries and including the first disability access telescope in Australia designed and built by members. A recently installed Hearing Loop in Baker Hall, with funding provided by the City of Ballarat , supports volunteers and visitors with additional needs to participate.
