Close approach of 2001 FO32 March 2oth two sessions.
The Observatory will open from 10.00pm.
Ballarat is well placed to observe this close approach. It will be closest on Sunday night about 9pm but by then it is too low. You need good binoculars or a telescope.
The Observatory will be open to help you find it, it is not naked eye at magnitude 12.1.
A donation of $30 Adult, $20 Concession and $12 Student will go towards raising funds for a new mount for Astrophotography and one free return visit for an astrophotography session.
You can Join BAS and gain further visits on Members Nights through out the year, which is great value.
$60 Family, $40 Adult, $35 Adult concession $25 Student $50 Family Concession $300 Corporate/School.
All funds raised on this night go towards our new telescope mount.
