Looking for something to do in the school holidays? Join our nerdy school holiday program. These Spring School Holidays we are running daytime workshops and evening sessions to help you learn how the stars appear to move in the sky, and how to use them to navigate. These sessions are beginner friendly. We are also running “Junior Sessions” designed specifically for families with children under 9. Check out the details below. Bookings Essential.
Daytime Workshops (Various Times) – Victorian and South Australian School Holidays
Recommended Age 9+
Join one of our daytime workshops to learn how about the stars (appear to) move, how to track them and use them to find your way and the time.
Workshop includes:
- Exploring the Pipehenge
- Finding north and south using the sun
- Virtual tour of the sky.
- Making a Bush Clock.
Junior Sessions (Various Times) – Victorian and South Australian School Holidays
Recommended Age 3+
Join one of our junior sessions to learn about the size and movement of stars.
Junior Session includes:
- Astrotour Movie
- Virtual tour of the sky
- Craft
- Launching water rockets.
Evening Program (6:00pm – 8:00pm) – Victorian School Holidays Only. See Term 4 times on Front Page Calendar for Interstate visitors.
