Presentation Descriptions:

Explore! Space – it’s everchanging:

We percieve the motion of the Sun and Moon but often forget about the rest of space and don’t notice the changes in the sky right above our heads. This presentation will bring you up to speed on the motions of objects in the sky, in our galaxy and the motions of the galaxies themselves.

Previous Presentations

Explore! Exoplanets:

Thousands of planets outside of our solar sysytem (called exoplanets) have been found outside of our solar system. These sessions will feature the short Astrotour movie Expedition Earth and talk about the Kepler Space Telescope, responsible for finding over 3,000 exoplanets with Q&A to follow

Explore! Solstices:

The solstice coming from the latin solstitium, happens twice a year often without hurrah. Discover the meaning and cause of the solstices and how you can navigate based on the location of the Sun.
