SPACE IS EVER CHANGING

29th June – 13th July 2024

Looking for something to do in the school holidays?  Join our nerdy school holiday program and learn more about our amazing ever-changing universe.

Whats on?

Evening Sessions (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 6.00-8.00pm)
Our evening sessions involve a tour of the historic observatory, a presentation about the nature of  movement of the sky and space and finished with wonderful star gazing with our modern telescopes. If the weather is cloudy, a virtual night sky tour will run instead of telescope viewing. We recommend dressing for the snow with layers.

Afternoon Session (Tuesdays and Saturdays 3.30-5.00pm)

Our afternoon session are perfect for kids keen to learn about how the universe works. You’ll get to learn about the movement of the objects in the day and night sky, the orbits of various solar system bodies and the movement of the solar system through space. The session will end with a visitor favourite activity: launching water rockets.

All events will require booking. Bookings will open Tuesday 7th of May at 8pm AEST and will close 2 hours prior to the start time of each session.
