The Lunar Wobble, the extremes of the movement of the Moon, what does it mean for the Earth’s weather, what are some of the fascinating links between the Sun, Earth and Moon?

The Moon will be  stunning, waxing crescent 5 days old, offering great opportunities for viewing along the terminator – the line between night and day. Daylight savings time begins after midnight, so the last “early start” for us to observe.

Saturn and Jupiter are also visible.

Enter our Competition to name features on the Moon – Prize – a Set of Moon maps. Dress for the snow, an outside open fire to keep warm if very chilly.
